摘　　要：可持续发展是当今全球治理的重大议题。制定实施可持续战略是大学实现自身可持续型组织转型为与推动社会可持续发展的重要机制。普林斯顿大学是可持续型大学建设的一个典范。研究考察了普林斯顿大学近20年来公开发布的9份可持续发展战略相关重要文件,分析了三个建设阶段的主要战略目标、任务结构和实施路径。研究发现,普林斯顿大学可持续发展建设体现了渐进主义模式按部就班、稳中求变、渐变调试三项原则,由此保证战略规划在长时段中保持目标和路径稳定性和一致性,同时也支持与时俱进的创新理念和行动。研究基于普林斯顿大学案例分析,为我国可持续型大学建设提供了政策建议。Sustainable development is a central issue of global governance today.Designing and implementing a sustainability strategy is a viable way to develop a sustainable university and promote a sustainable transformation of the wider society.Princeton University is a unique and successful example of sustainable university development.The study examined nine key documents of Princeton’s sustainability strategy and identified three stages of development over two decades of rapid institutional building and campus expansion.The study analyzed the goals,task structures and implementation processes in Princeton’s sustainability strategy,and identified three incrementalism principles in the strategy’s development:step-by-step,enabling flexibility,and fine-tuning while maintaining consistency.These principles supported innovative ideas and actions while ensuring stability and alignment between strategic goals and development paths.The study concludes with policy recommendations for Chinese universities in building the sustainable university.
