摘　　要：本文从相对宏观的层面讨论美国的历史小说和小说的历史批判。文章首先从理论上论证,小说可以成为一种特殊的历史叙事;然后通过历史小说与“非常”历史事件的互文比照,揭示小说家历史书写中政治介入的意图,凸显艺术虚构在反思历史中的意识形态批判功能;进而论及历史小说的叙事策略、视角和文体特征,解析文学虚构如何成为有效的历史言说。许多优秀美国历史小说家担当起了重新记忆、重新书写历史的责任,对被洗白和修正的官方历史进行再修正。他们的作品因此也具有特殊的文化政治意义。The paper is a study,from a relatively broad perspective,of the American historical fiction and fictional re-examination of history.First,the paper stresses the theoretical possibility of fiction being a special historical narrative.This is followed by intertextual reading of selected historical novels and the corresponding events to reveal the authors'political involvement by rewriting history,emphasizing the ideological criticism that fictionalized history underlines.The paper also discusses the narrative strategy,perspective,stylistic characteristics of the historical fiction and how it becomes persuasive argument over historical issues.Many American historical fictionists have assumed the responsibility of re-memorizing and re-writing the whitewashed or edited official history,and their works are thus endowed with a special cultural and political significance.
