摘　　要：扎迪·史密斯的《白牙》以其独特的叙事艺术描绘了一幅当代英国移民的生活画卷,揭露了20世纪末英国社会的多层次伦理危机和伦理断裂。本文以埃德加·莫兰的共同体伦理观为理论依托,探讨作者如何在小说中呈现“爱”“承认”“自由”和“容忍”这四个“连结”伦理律令的失效过程,从而窥见史密斯对当代英国伦理关系问题的忧虑。而在面对这些失效的伦理律令时,布莱尔政府运用“重道德化”策略解决实际问题的能力也令人质疑。White Teeth written by Zadie Smith with its extraordinary narrative art depicts the life canvas of contemporary English immigrants and poses the multidimensionally assembled ethical crises and ethical disruption.Based on ethical imperatives of reliance,this paper in the light of Edgar Morin's ethical community endeavors to comb through the way how ethics of love,recognition,liberty and tolerance become invalid in the novel by which the ethical relations troublesome to modern Britain hanging over Zadie Smith is revealed.And confronted with the ethical disruption,"re-moralizing"politics in the early Blair Years lack the power and practicality for coping with the microscopic ethical issues.
