摘　　要：欧洲艺术文化在世界艺术发展进程中的地位举足轻重,其内涵十分丰富。威廉·莫里斯作为欧洲艺术和设计领域的代表,其作品在现代设计中扮演着重要角色。事实上,中国文化曾经对莫里斯图案的形成产生过重大影响。本文针对中国唐代植物装饰纹样与威廉·莫里斯的纹样设计作品在艺术特征上的相似性与差异性进行了对比分析与研究。从设计理念、设计特色等方面对莫里斯纹样的艺术特征进行了深入剖析;从图案分类、构图特点、色彩等多个角度分析了唐代植物纹样的艺术特征,并最终深入挖掘到现代设计的运用上来。European art culture plays an important role in the development of world art,and its connotation is very rich.As a representative of European art and design,William Morris's works play an important role in modern design.In fact,Chinese culture once had a significant impact on the formation of Morris patterns.This paper makes a comparative analysis and research on the similarities and differences in artistic characteristics between the decorative patterns of plants in the Tang Dynasty of China and those of William Morris.This paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of Morris pattern from the aspects of design concept and design characteristics;This paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of plant patterns in the Tang Dynasty from the perspectives of pattern classification,composition characteristics and color,and finally explores the application of modern design.
