晚清时期日商在华南地区的经济活动——以三井物产会社为中心  

The Business Activities of Japanese Merchants in South China in the Late Qing Dynasty: A Case Study of Mitsui Bussan Kaisha

摘　　要：晚清时期,大量日商进入华南地区开展活动,其中最为活跃的是三井物产会社。1878年,三井物产会社顺应日本政府的要求在中国香港开设分支机构,但发展并不顺利。1886年,三井物产会社重新开设香港地区支店,通过重点推销三池煤在华南地区成功立足。甲午战争后,三井物产会社以贸易业为中心进一步扩大在华南地区的活动地域和业务范围,增强了日本在华南地区的经济势力。三井物产会社在华南地区经济活动的特点在于积极与日本政府和企业合作、构建并利用在华社会关系网、积极搜集情报、灵活制定并调整经营策略。这四个特点也是三井物产会社在华南地区取得发展的重要原因。在日本对华南地区的经济扩张中,三井物产会社扮演了重要角色。A large number of Japanese merchants advanced into South China in the Late Qing Dynasty, Mitsui Bussan Kaisha was the most active one. Mitsui Bussan Kaisha opened a branch in Hong Kong according to the requirements of the Japanese government in 1878, but this branch ended in failure. Mitsui Bussan Kaisha reopened a branch in Hong Kong in 1886, and had a foothold in South China by importing Japanese coal. Mitsui Bussan Kaisha further expanded its market and business scope after the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, and strengthened Japan’s economic power in South China. The characteristics of its economic activities in South China are as follows: Firstly, it cooperated with Japanese government and other Japanese enterprises;Secondly, it built and used social networks in China;Thirdly, it collected active intelligence;Lastly, it established and adjusted business strategies according to the situation in South China. These characteristics are also the reasons why Mitsui Bussan Kaisha achieved development in South China. Mitsui Bussan Kaisha played an important role in Japan’s economic aggression against South China.
