摘　　要：普通编辑学的理论建构目标是揭示所有编辑活动中存在的普遍规律,这种研究取向借鉴了自然科学的方法论。由于研究方法并不适切及人文社会科学自身主观建构性的特点,多年来普通编辑学研究无法取得预期成果。中层理论是编辑学研究的一条可行路径,它借鉴社会学高度成熟的方法体系,统摄微观编辑活动的经验材料,抽象概括出可验证的理论,清晰地指出有待深入研究的相关领域,当研究领域逐步延伸后,编辑学理论图景将日益完善。The aim of the theory construction of general editorial science is to reveal the universal laws existing in all editing activities.This research orientation draws on the methodology of natural science.Due to the inappropriateness of the research methods and the subjective constructiveness of the humanities and social sciences,the general editorial science studies have been unable to achieve the expected results for many years.The mid-level theory is a feasible path for the study of editorial science.It draws on the highly mature method system of sociology,takes over the empirical materials of micro-editing activities,abstracts and summarizes the verifiable theory,as well as clearly indicates the related fields for further studies.When the research field is gradually extended,the theoretical picture of editorial science will be increasingly perfect.
