摘  要:本研究以中国学习者对英语高频时间维度介词at、on、in习得为例,考察了语际概念异同和频率效应之间的关系,探究了迁移可能性问题。研究发现:1)语际概念共性和频率因素会共同促进at和in的习得,频率因素会强化概念共性带来的正迁移作用;2)频率因素会抑制语际概念差异对习得的阻碍作用,但负迁移仍会发生:主要表现为汉语不刻意区分时间点与时间段所导致的at系统性偏误,以及不刻意区分时间段长短所导致的in系统性偏误;3)在频率等因素作用下,on所标示的全新概念类别能够被较好习得,但是正确率明显低于at和in,说明概念空缺对习得产生了一定的影响。研究表明,概念迁移不完全取决于语际概念异同,其作用程度会因频率因素而得以加强或削弱。Based on Chinese EFL learners’ acquisition of at, on and in, three high-frequency English temporal dimensional prepositions, this study examined the relationship between frequency effects and crosslinguistic conceptual similarities and differences, and explored the issue of transferability.The results showed that:(1) crosslinguistic conceptual similarities and input frequency both contributed positively to the acquisition of at and in, and input frequency strengthened the positive effect of the crosslinguistic similarities to a great extent;(2) crosslinguistic conceptual differences caused negative L1 conceptual transfer to some degree even though input frequency considerably diminished their negative influences. The negative influences were mainly manifested in the acquisition of at and in, because Chinese language tends not to distinguish points of time from time span on the one hand, and not to differentiate lengths of time span on the other;and(3) input frequency had a very positive effect on the acquisition of on, but more errors were committed than those of at and in, since the crosslinguistic conceptual non-equivalence had a negative effect on its acquisition. Taken together, these findings indicate that conceptual transfer is largely determined by crosslinguistic conceptual similarities and differences, but input frequency is also an undeniable factor which would strengthen or weaken the effects of conceptual transfer in L2 acquisition.
