摘  要:骨关节炎(osteoarthritis,OA)是世界范围内最常见、患病人数最多的骨骼肌肉系统疾病,也是引起老年人慢性疼痛和残疾的最主要原因[1]。OA可累及膝、髋、手、脊柱等关节,其中以膝骨关节炎(knee osteoarthritis,KOA)最为常见。KOA被认为是一种全关节疾病,其结构改变涉及骨赘生成、关节软骨缺损、软骨下骨髓损害、半月板撕裂、滑膜炎、前交叉韧带撕裂等[2]。其中,骨赘长期以来被视为KOA的标志性结构改变,也是诊断和评估KOA的主要指标[3]。但骨赘在KOA病程中的作用仍不明确.Knee osteoarthritis(KOA)is a whole-joint disease characterized by osteophyte(OP)formation,articular cartilage defects,subchondral bone marrow lesions,and effusion-synovitis.Among them,OP has long been regarded as the hallmark of KOA.However,the role of OP formation in the process of KOA is still unclear,and its role as a biomarker of KOA disease progression is still controversial.A large number of studies have proved the superiority of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)against conventional X-ray in evaluating knee OP.We hereby reviewed the clinical research of MRI-detected OP on KOA in recent years,compared the advantages and disadvantages of distinct MRI-detected OP methods,and discussed the role of OP in the process of KOA.This review is expected to improve the understanding of knee OP and promote future research directions in order to prevent KOA progression.
