摘　　要：On October 26,2022,China’s research icebreaker Xuelong 2,or Snow Dragon 2,set off from Shanghai,marking the start of the country’s 39th Antarctic expedition.Wang Chaoyao and Wang Jian were on board on behalf of the National Marine Data and Information Service(NMDIS),one of the major players in China’s polar research.It was the first time the two were on an Antarctic expedition.
