With the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, the opposing sides not only fight to the death in the physical battlefields, but also use public opinion as weapons in cognitive field. While the Russia-Ukraine Conflict is far from the first war with cognitive battles in human history,it is unprecedented in its scale.Western countries exploit their information superiorities to ban every pro-Russian information, making Russia obviously be at a disadvantage in this contest. In this regard, this paper firstly addresses the characteristics of the cognitive battles in this conflict, then discusses the impact of such battles on governments and people with a focus on the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, and finally puts forward insights and recommendations on how to win cognitive wars.
