摘　　要：美国犹太作家索尔·贝娄强调犹太文化的传统意义和文化价值,并坚持文学形式与文化内容的紧密融合。在代表作《赫索格》中,他将反映犹太民族的历史、宗教和伦理道德的受难、流浪、负罪与救赎的犹太母题嵌套于圆形与U形结合的叙事模式中,使作品呈现出严密的叙述格局、喜剧式的叙事模式、独特的文化品性和强烈的道德气息,这说明贝娄成功地实现了在文学形式和内容上对以《希伯来圣经》为代表的犹太文化的传承,他也成为了辉煌的犹太小说的殿堂级作家。Saul Bellow,a Jewish-American writer attaching much importance to Jewish values and tradition,was keen on combining literary form with cultural connotation.His masterpiece Herzog addresses such Jewish motifs as suffering,exile,sin and salvation,which are related to Jewish history,Judaism,ethics and morality.With its circular and U-shaped narrative modes,the novel has a perfect narrative layout that is comic,uniquely Jewish and strongly moral.Bellow's literary writings successfully inherit the Jewish culture based on the Hebrew Bible,which has made him a hall-of-fame Jewish fiction writer.
