摘 要:2021年度诺贝尔文学奖得主古尔纳在其处女作《离别的记忆》中的阈限空间书写隐喻的是深刻的伦理主题。东非青年哈桑·奥马尔通过从肯格到内罗毕再回到家乡重新出发的空间转换,隐含着范热内普提出的“通过仪式”的分离、阈限与聚合三个阶段的过渡性进程。哈桑在家宅空间、都市空间以及心理空间等阈限空间面临的成长议题,实质上是为了突破伦理困境并建构伦理身份所进行的仪式活动。古尔纳以《离别的记忆》为起点,不断书写着家乡桑给巴尔的人民生活和国族命运,并反思多元文化背景下的非洲流散者的身份建构与文化认同问题。The liminal space in Memory of Departure by Abdulrazak Gurnah,winner of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature,has a profound ethical meaning.Hassan Omar,a young East African man,travels from his hometown of Kenge to Nairobi and then back to his hometown.This spatial transition symbolizes the process of the rites of passage as proposed by Arnold van Gennep,from separation to liminality and then to aggregation.In essence,the growth projects of Hassan in the liminal space,including the domestic space,urban space and mental space,are the ritualized activities of breaking through an ethical dilemma and constructing ethical identity.Starting with Memory of Departure,Gurnah has written extensively about the life of the people in Zanzibar and thedestiny of his motherland,refecting on the identity construction of the African diasporas against a multicultural background.
