流星雷达与中频雷达探测70~100 km临近空间水平风场对比分析

摘  要:流星雷达(MR)与中频(MF)雷达是探测70~100 km临近空间水平风场的2种主要地基无线电观测手段,但目前对它们观测风场的差异还不是很清楚。比较研究了昆明站2台不同频率流星雷达(37.5 MHz、53.1 MHz)与中频雷达的风场。结果表明,2台流星雷达风速接近,它们与MF雷达风速差异较大;MF雷达风速值变化范围大,且大部分时间风速高于两台MR雷达;在80~90 km高度范围,3台雷达风速最相近,且最接近真实风速,其中,2台MR雷达风速差值均值的绝对值小于5 m/s,差值标准差约30 m/s;它们与MF雷达风速差值均值的绝对值小于15 m/s,差值标准差约60 m/s。对于风剪切,MF雷达与MR雷达都能探测到风向剪切,但MF雷达缺乏对于风速剪切的探测能力。风速日变化结果显示,一天内3台雷达有相似的变化趋势和波动周期,但MF雷达与两台MR雷达的波动幅度存在明显差异。总的来看,MF雷达与两台MR雷达风速存在明显的系统偏差。Meteor radar(MR) and medium frequency(MF) radar are two main ground-based radio observation methods to observe the horizontal wind at the altitude range of 70~100 km. However, the difference of their observation of the wind is not clear at present. The winds from two different frequency meteor radars(37.5 MHz, 53.1 MHz) and medium frequency radar at Kunming station are compared. The results show that the wind speeds of the two meteor radars are similar, and different from that of the MF radar. The wind speed of MF radar varies widely, and most of the time is higher than that of the two MR radars. In the altitude range of 80~90 km, the wind speeds of the three radars are the most similar and closest to the true wind speed. And in the altitude range of 80~90 km, the absolute value of the mean wind speed difference between the two MR radars is less than 5 m/s, and the standard deviation of the difference is about 30 m/s. The absolute value of the mean wind speed difference between two MR radars and MF radar wind speed is less than 15 m/s, and the standard deviation of the difference is about 60 m/s. For wind shear, both MF radar and MR radar can detect wind direction shear, but MF radar lacks the ability to detect wind speed shear. The results of diurnal variation of wind speed show that the three radars have similar variation trend and fluctuation period in one day, but the fluctuation amplitude between MF radar and the two MR radars is significantly different. In general, there is obvious systematic deviation of wind speed between MF radar and two MR radars.
