摘　　要：In 1963,Douglas Reye and colleagues[1]published a detailed description of 21 patients who developed a mys-terious illness.Notable features included encephalopathy and fatty liver degeneration,generally occurring within several days after the appearance of respiratory symp-toms;yet,only a year and a half later Giles[2]brought forward a compelling argument that aspirin might be the trigger for this rare entity.
