摘　　要：美国后现代主义戏剧大师尤今·奥尼尔一生执着于探索人的精神归属,谱写人与命运对抗的赞歌,其代表作《毛猿》以主人公扬克寻求自然、社会与精神和谐的失败呈现了工业文明背景下现代人类社会的缩影。从社会生态、精神生态、自然生态3个方面对该剧暴露的工业文明之殇--道德缺失、人性异化和自然恶化进行了分析,阐释了奥尼尔前瞻性的生态意识和悲天悯人的生态关怀,不仅可以丰富这部经典戏剧的解读路径,也对唤醒人们反思当今世界经济与生态的双重危机具有重要的现实意义。O′Neill,a great playwright in American drama of Postmodernism,devoted all his life to the exploration of man′s spiritual identity and composed a paean to man′s confrontation with fate.In his masterpiece The Hairy Ape,he represents a microcosm of modern human society with the protagonist Yuncker′s failure in seeking a harmony among nature,society and spirit,and reveals an ecological tragedy of the industrial society.From aspects of social ecology,spiritual ecology and natural ecology,this paper analyzes the disadvantages of Industrial Civilization in the period of the rapid development of capitalism exposed by the play:the loss of morality,the deterioration of nature and the alienation of human nature,and presenting O′Neill′s forward-looking ecological consciousness and compassionate ecological care which can not only enrich interpretation of this classic drama but also of a great practical significance of awakening people to reflect on the dual crisis of ecology and civilization in today′s world.
