《蒙古秘史》中的“^(中)合申”笺释

摘　　要：《蒙古秘史》中的“唐兀惕”指党项民族,此外尚有“中合申”似乎也指称“唐兀惕”。本文对《蒙古秘史》《黄金史》中的“中合申(qa■in)”和san■in进行辨义、辨形和辨音,认为《蒙古秘史》《黄金史》中的“中合申(qa■in)”和san■in在语音上对应于中古汉语的“河西”,古代蒙古语用该词来指称西夏所处的地理位置和建立西夏政权的主体民族。唐兀_惕recorded in The Secret History of the Mongols refers to the Tangut,and^(中)合申in the same literature also seems to refer to this唐兀_惕“Tangut”.This paper provides an analysis on^(中)the meaning,form and sound of the word合申(qa■in)recorded in The Secret History of the Mongols and san■in recorded in Altan tob■i(the Golden Chronicle)by Lubsangdanjin,and^(中)proposes that合申”(qa■in)and san■in,a misspelled form of qa■in,both correspond to the sound of hexi河西in Ancient Chinese,which have been used in ancient Mongolian to refer to the geographical location of the Xixia Dynasty and the Tangut people,the major group founding the Xixia Dynasty.
