Study on the Multiple Reduplication of Xuzhou Dialect

摘　　要：徐州方言中部分名词和副词可在句法层面进行三叠及五叠式的多重重叠,语音上有着独特的连读变调规律。一般名词多叠式强调物量达到极小,句法上作宾语或定语;时间名词多叠式强调事件发生频率极高,句法上常作状语;方位名词多叠式表示方位指向上程度达到极致,句法上充当宾语;时间副词和语气副词重叠后基式语义在程度上凸显加强,句法上充当状语。徐州方言的多重重叠是一种表达主观量的语法手段,在“调量”意义的基础上,还具有表达说话人主观态度、情感、评价以及话语情景性的语用功能,在认知动因上符合数量象似性原则。Some nouns and adverbs in Xuzhou dialect can perform triple and quintuple reduplications at the syntactic level,which have unique patterns of tone sandhi in pronunciation.The multiple reduplication of general nouns emphasizes the amount of things reaching the minimum,and serves as the object or at-tribute in syntax.The multiple reduplication of temporal nouns emphasizes that the frequency of events is extremely high,which is often used as the adverbial in syntax.The multiple reduplication of locative nouns indicates the ultimate degree of orientation,and serves as the object syntactically.The temporal adverbs and modal adverbs’semantic meaning can be highlighted and intensified in the range of degrees after redu-plication,and their multiple reduplications work as the adverbial syntactically.The multiple reduplication of Xuzhou dialect is a grammatical means of expressing subjective quantity.On the basis of the meaning of changing the quantity,it also has pragmatic functions as expressing the speaker’s subjective attitude,e-motion,evaluation and the situationality of utterance,and conforms to the principle of quantitative iconici-ty in cognitive motivation.
