摘　　要：湘西万仞大山的武陵山麓,坐落着一座美丽的古城,名凤凰。这里青山环抱,碧水绕城,城郭醇厚,关隘雄奇。城边有座高山,形似浴火重生的凤凰展翅翱翔,凤凰城由此得名。这是一座钟灵毓秀、底蕴深厚的文化名城。它人文荟萃,史记斑斓。许多成就斐然的艺术大师从这里的苗寨扬帆启航,一路风雨兼程,终登上了波澜壮阔的历史舞台。The Tuo River is located in Fenghuang County.Tourists know it as the river along the walls of Phoenix Ancient Town.The Tuo River’s waters are clear and blue,and centuries-old dwelling are contained on both banks of the river.On the south bank of the river lies an ancient city wall made of purple sandstone.Fenghuang is praised as“the most beautiful town in China”for its natural beauty,rich history,colorful ethnic customs,and photogenic scenery.
