德国汉学家论孔子的宗教观——基于顾彬《论语》译本的副文本解析

摘　　要：译本的副文本直接反映译者的他者视角,该文通过对当代德国汉学家顾彬《论语》译本的副文本进行解析,考察顾彬通过翻译行为实现的对孔子思想的传播,聚焦到顾彬从孔子对天的敬畏、对鬼神的敬畏、对祭祀的虔诚三个维度来呈现他所理解的孔子的宗教观。顾彬认为孔子思想中宗教和哲学不可分割,不理解宗教,就无法真正理解孔子。顾彬的这种观点与他的宗教学学科背景密切相关。虽然顾彬对孔子思想的认知和理解仍然没有脱离西方哲学、宗教学的话语体系,但他通过在翻译中加入大量的副文本解读,向德国读者呈现他的汉学家视角,进一步推动了儒家思想在德国乃至欧洲的传播。The paratexts of the translations directly reflect the translator's perspective of the other.Through an analysis of the paratexts of the contemporary German Sinologist Wolfgang Kubin's translation of The Analects of Confucius,this paper examines Kubin's transmission of Confucius' thought through his translation activities,presenting his understanding of Confucius' religious views in three dimensions:Confucius' worship for heaven,his reverence for gods and ghosts,and his devotion to sacrifice.Kubin argues that religion and philosophy are inseparable in Confucius' thought,and that Confucius cannot be truly understood without understanding religion.This view of Kubin is closely related to his background in the discipline of religion.Kubin's perception and understanding of Confucius' thought is still not separated from the discourse of Western philosophy and religion.However,by including a large number of paratextual readings in his translations,he presented his perspective as a Sinologist to German readers,and further promoted the spread of Confucianism in Germany and even Europe.
