摘　　要：本文通过考察邱塔设计者威廉·钱伯斯的中国经历,归纳分析其著作中有关中国古塔的论述,并引述邱塔设计说明及对邱塔与相关中国古塔进行异同对比,从而对邱塔设计来源提供另一种思考。邱塔的设计明确来源于对中国古塔,包括南京大报恩寺琉璃塔、山东临清舍利宝塔,尤其是对广州琶洲塔的模仿,同时融合了钱伯斯自身的思考理解,并有创新之处。This paper gives a different reflection on the design source of Kew Pagoda by examining the Chinese experience of its designer William Chambers,summarizing and analyzing his writings on Chinese pagodas,citing the design description of Kew Pagoda and comparing it with related Chinese pagodas.The design of Kew Pagoda is clearly an imitation of ancient Chinese pagodas,including the Porcelain Pagoda at Nanking,the Tong-Tchang-Fou Pagoda,and especially the Whampoa Pagoda.Meanwhile,it integrates Chambers’own thinking and understanding,with some innovations.
