汉英语人工物隐喻植物的认知对比研究

摘　　要：采用人工物词指称植物是一种普遍的命名方式,通过这种方式命名的植物名称属于“植物是人工物”概念隐喻下的语言表现。从专门典籍中搜集汉语和英语植物名各73个,从认知语言学视角考察和归纳人工物映射植物的类别及特征,分析和对比汉语与英语“拟人工物化”植物名称的词义共性和差异,阐释异同背后的原因。研究发现,汉英语植物名中的具体人工物概念同大于异,部分人工物概念为各自独有;共性反映了使用汉语和英语的民众在认知方式上的同一性,个性折射出隐喻的语言表现受时代物质文化内容的制约。The concept of artifacts serves as a key vehicle of cognitive network in plant naming.Plant names,which contain artifact words,are categorized as the metaphorical lexis attributed to the conceptual metaphor“A Plant Is an Arti-fact”.The present study focuses on the plant Artifactualization naming in the Chinese and English language in the light of cognitive linguistics.Based upon the examination of the lexical motivation of 73 plant terms respectively in the two lan-guages,it is found that the specific concepts of artifacts in the plant names of Chinese and English share more similarities than differences,and some of the concepts of artifacts are uniquely implied.The commonality reflects the homogeneity of Chinese and British cognitive styles,and the individuality manifests that the metaphorically-combined language form is shaped by the material and cultural content of the times.
