摘 要:针对在超高亮环境下,液晶显示的功耗大、散热高、画面对比度低的问题,设计一种基于FPGA的动态背光系统。基于vesa标准的分区亮度提取与分帧加权背光驱动数据处理,通过FPGA对背光灯板的驱动IC的控制,实现对每个微小型区域背光进行单独控制。实现了在高亮环境下,采用动态区域调光算法的背光灯板与传统全局背光灯板相比,相同功耗下对比度提高了35.8%,有效的提高了画面的显示质量;同时,在达到相同亮度的情况下,功耗降低了50%左右。有效地解决了因全局背光带来的功耗高、对比度低问题,实现了背光亮度可根据液晶画面灵活调整,达到了降低功耗同时提升画面的显示效果。Aiming at the problems of high power consumption,high heat dissipation and low picture contrast of liquid crystal display(LCD)in ultra-bright environment,a dynamic backlight system based on field programmable gate array(FPGA)is designed.Based on vesa standard,partition brightness extraction and frame weighted backlight drive data processing are performed,through the FPGA control of the driver integrated circuit(IC)of the backlight panel,the individual control of the backlight of each micro and small area is realized.In high-brightness environments,compared with the traditional global backlight,the backlight using the dynamic area dimming algorithm increases the contrast by 35.8%under the same power consumption,the display quality of the picture is effectively improved.In this case,the power consumption is reduced by about 50%,which effectively solves the problem of high power consumption and low contrast caused by the global backlight,the backlight brightness can be flexibly adjusted according to the LCD screen,and reduces power consumption while improving the display effect of the screen.
