摘　　要：《新华字典》第12版根据自身的规模、读者对象主要为中小学生等特点,本着通行性、规范性、查考性、积极性等原则,增补部分字词新义、增收部分新词语,并按照字典的体例、风格等采取了适当的释义方式。Considering the size and the orientation of readers,mainly primary and secondary school students,the editors adds new entries and interpretations to the 12th edition of Xinhua Dictionary based on the principles of universality,standardization,user-friendliness in search and reference,and promotion of positive values.This paper discusses a bunch of examples representative of new features of the 12th edition with the aim to manifest the innovation and improvement of the new edition.
