摘 要:汉英对比研究多关注时空域及运动域主要语义元素,较少分析人称域、物体域及运动域动词类型。本文通过对比中美汉—英双语者图片双语描述中的人称、物称及动词类型,分析词汇化概念迁移和概念化迁移。研究发现:1)美国双语者的英文人称、物称及动词描述均显著多于中国双语者,且前者的英文显著多于中文,后者中英文描述类似;2)不同英语水平中双语者各概念域的中文描述类似,但英文描述上高水平者显著较多;3)中美双语者的中文物称和动词描述类似,但美国双语者的人称描述显著高于低水平者。结果说明,相较于目标语社会化程度及水平,迁移产生的层面、方向及量更与双语者的母语语类及不同概念域有关。English-Chinese contrast studies are mainly focused on the domain of space and time,and the main semantic components of motion,paying less attention to the domain of persons,objects and motion in light of verb types.Using a picture description task,the present study investigated the lexicalized concepts and the conceptualization transfer through a comparison in the bilingual descriptions of objects,persons,and verbs between the English-Chinese bilinguals whose L1 is English and Chinese,respectively.It is found that:1)the American bilinguals are significantly more relative to the Chinese bilinguals in their English descriptions of the objects,persons,and verbs,with the former's English descriptions significantly more compared to their Chinese descriptions while the later insignificantly different in each domain;2)the Chinese bilinguals with higher level of English are significantly more than those with lower level of English in their English descriptions,whereas in their Chinese descriptions the two are insignificantly different in each domain;and 3)the American and the Chinese bilinguals are similar in their Chinese descriptions of objects and verbs,however,in the domain of persons,the former are significantly more than the latter with lower English levels.The results indicate that the scope,the direction,and the quantity of transfer depend more on the bilinguals'first and target language typology and the domains of concepts than on their target language proficiency and socialization.
