In recent years, due to the change of living habits, the improvement of diet structure, medical and health conditions and the increase of life expectancy, the prevalence of hyperuricemia(HUA)is on the rise globally and tends to be younger,it is a metabolic disorder that can lead to gout, acute kidney injury, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, etc.Uric acid may have a wide range of effects in the process of human evolution and development, including oxidation, antioxidation, nerve stimulation, and immune stimulation. Therefore, there are complex connections and different molecular biological mechanisms between HUA and clinical diseases. An increasing number of prospective and clinical studies have found that HUA is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, but there is currently no unified conclusion on whether it is an independent risk factor. Therefore,it is necessary to fully understand the existence and harmfulness of HUA in the occurrence and development of hypertension, and make timely and correct judgments and treatments. This article mainly analyzes the possible mechanism between HUA and hypertension from the perspective of endocrine metabolism, and briefly elaborates on it.
