庚子事变后南洋华人对新政改革的评议与倡导——以新加坡华文报刊《叻报》为中心的探讨(1900-1901)

摘　　要：义和团运动后,为了挽回声誉,重振民心,维护清廷的继续统治,刚刚逃至西安的慈禧太后就颁布诏令启动变法,让社会各界各抒己见,由此拉开十年新政序幕。华文报刊《叻报》在1900年前后紧跟清廷的时局,积极报道义和团的动向和战争的进程,并对运动的失败和时局的败坏痛心疾首。当1901年初两宫诏令新政后,《叻报》仍然紧密关注清廷的动向,大量转载国内与改革变法相关的奏折和文章,并为新政建言献策,其中隐含着南洋华人群体希望国家民族自立与强大的爱国之情。After the Boxer Rebellion,in order to restore the reputation,revive the hearts of the people and maintain the continued rule of the Qing court,Empress Dowager Cixi,who had just fled to Xi'an,issued an imperial decree to initiate the Change of Law,allowing all sectors of society to express their opinions,thus kicking off the ten-year New Deal.The Singaporebased newspaper Lat Pau followed the Qing court's current situation around 1900,actively reporting on the movements of the Boxer Rebellion and the progress of the war,and deploring the failure of the movement and the deterioration of the current situation.When the two palaces decreed the New Deal at the beginning of 1901,Lat Pau still closely followed the Qing court's movements,reprinting a large number of memorials and domestic articles related to the reform and change of law,and offering advice and suggestions for the New Deal,which implied the patriotic feelings of the Chinese community in the South Pacific for the country's national self-reliance and strength.
