摘 要:自20世纪90年代以来,当代爱尔兰文学进入加速繁荣期,作家和评论家集体表现出较强的除旧布新意识。在重估移民历史的迫切文化要求下,结合流散研究理论的快速发展,当代爱尔兰跨国流散叙事出现较多文本新实践,从传统的“受害者流散”叙事模式转向更具个体特异性的流散新主体叙事,用个性化的体验对抗元叙事的笼统概括。爱尔兰大饥荒的创伤性集体记忆被反复重述,却不再仅仅指向死亡和失根的民族悲剧,还被重新想象成爱尔兰人在他乡适应和奉献的强大故事。与此同时,少数群体的沉默被打破,情感的力量和“跨国爱尔兰性”的可能性得到探索。当代爱尔兰流散作家坚持在多元文化共存的遭遇地带,展示失根者的意义重构过程和跨族群共同体形塑。Contemporary Irish literature has entered a new phase of flourishing since the 1990s,with both writers and critics making conscious efforts to break away from the old.New directions emerge in diasporic narratives under the urgent demand for reassessing Irish history,boosted meanwhile by quick theoretical development of Diasporic Studies.The"victim diaspora"mode shifts towards more particularized subjects,whose individualized experiences challenge the traditional totalizing diasporic metanarrative.The traumatic Irish Famine has been repeatedly reimagined in contemporary works,but as powerful stories about adaptation and contribution rather than mere national tragedies of death and uprootedness.The silence of minorities has been broken,while the power of affect and the possibility of"transnational Irishness"have been explored.Contemporary writers focus on multicultural contact zones to narrate the process of how the uprooted emigrants reconstruct their knowledge of the world to build cross-racial communities.
