荒诞与反抗——从加缪荒诞哲学视角分析《鸽翼》主人公米莉

摘　　要：亨利·詹姆斯是英美文学由现实主义向现代主义过渡期间的关键作家之一。他的作品关注人与世界的关系、人类存在的困境,蕴含了远超时代的世界观和人类文明愿景,拥有独特的现代价值。《鸽翼》作为他“最后的三部曲”之一,探讨了普遍存在于现代社会中的一种生存困境和精神危机问题。该文从加缪的荒诞哲学视角出发,分析了小说主人公米莉经历荒诞并极力反抗的过程。在征途中,米莉始终在抗争,尝试抵抗荒诞的力量,直到用尽最后一丁点力气。荒诞固然存在,生命却能在反抗中显出它的力量与光辉。从加缪的荒诞哲学角度出发,可以解读出《鸽翼》中蕴含的亨利·詹姆斯对人类生存与抗争问题的深刻思考。Henry James is one of the key writers during the transition from realism to modernism in English and American literature.His works focus on the relationship between man and the world and the plight of human existence,and contain a worldview and vision of human civilization far beyond the times,with unique modern value.The Wings of the Dove,as one of his most important works,focuses on a kind of survival dilemma and spiritual crisis that exists widely in modern society.From the perspective of Camus's absurd philosophy,this paper analyzes the process of Milly,the protagonist of the novel,experiencing absurdity and trying her best to resist it.Throughout her journey,Milly fought against the forces of the absurd until she had exhausted her last ounce of strength.Absurdity exists,but life can show its strength and brilliance in the resistance.From Camus's absurd philosophical perspective,this paper interprets Henry James's profound thinking on human survival and struggle.
