Chinese characters are a gem of Chinese culture. It not only carries Chinese culture but also deeply influences other countries around it.These countries, deeply influenced by the Chinese character culture, together form the Chinese character culture circle.Japan is one of them. After Chinese characters were introduced into Japan, they brought Chinese culture and fused with Japanese native culture, and gradually evolved and developed to this day. Therefore, the Chinese characters used in Japan not only inherited Chinese traditional culture, but also rich in Japanese national culture. In this study,we choose the word"Gui"which is rich in multi-cultural meaning in Chinese folklore, and compare the use cases of"Gui"in ancient Japanese literature. After the comparison,it concludes that Chinese folk culture is gradually spread from central to local in Japan, and finally merged with Japanese culture.
