摘　　要：近半个世纪以来,不少学者试图从各类神话原型中解码《道林·格雷的画像》中的道德意蕴,认为小说揭示了道德堕落的现象,但未能发现小说训诫道德越界行为的主题。事实上,小说化用了俄狄浦斯原型,在原型与主人公道林·格雷的差异中传达了对道德越界者的训诫之意。道林使用了比俄狄浦斯更激烈的方式反叛道德,因而受到了更为严厉的惩罚。小说道德训诫的最终目标是倡导时代遽变中的道德坚守。For nearly half a century,many scholars have been trying to decode the moral implication of The Picture of Dorian Gray from various kinds of mythological archetypes,focusing on the novel’s revelation of moral degeneration.However,they have failed to identify a warning theme of admonition for moral transgressors.Actually,The Picture of Dorian Gray,via the Oedipus archetype,conveys the admonition of moral transgressors by comparing the diff erence between Oedipus and Dorian Gray.Much severe punishment gets imposed on Dorian due to his more drastic rebellion against morality.The ultimate goal of moral admonishment in the novel is to advocate moral persistence in the times rapid changes.
