摘　　要：Monitoring and Diagnosis are emerging as an increasingly important aspect of high voltage engineering in the last decades covering all types of high voltage equipment and materials.This Special Issue brings selected papers in the field of high voltage monitoring and diagnosis from the 2018 IEEE International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application(ICHVE 2018),which was organised by the National Technical University of Athens,Greece,and endorsed by IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society.The works presented in the conference mainly covered the areas of electromagnetic fields,transients and EMC,grounding systems,monitoring and diagnostics,power and industrial applications,high voltage insulation systems,high voltage testing and measurement and aging,space charge and maintenance.
