适度厚译,借象传意——科技典籍《天工开物》英译策略研究

摘　　要：本文选取《天工开物》王义静等英译本为研究对象,重点爬梳对农耕工序、工艺流程和生产工具三方面信息处理所采取的“适度厚译,借象传意”译释路径,阐释“文字+图片”多模态信息处理的优势和拘囿,并尝试将文字+图片+动图影像的多模态资源引入该典籍的英译策略体系,探求多元开放、动态互动的科技典籍译释路径,以供参酌。Taking Tian Gong Kai Wu translated by Wang Yijing et al as the research object,the paper mainly combs the translation and interpretation approaches of the meaning transmission with images and appropriate thick translation to deal with the information related to farming procedures,crafty process and productive appara-tus,illustrates the advantages and limitations of the"script+image"multi-modality,and proposes the introduc-tion of"script+image+video"multi-modality into the translation strategies for the classic to explore the transla-tion approach of the sci-tech classics featured with multiple openness and dynamic interaction.
