摘　　要：美国犹太作家索尔·贝娄以犹太文化为创作源泉,以犹太民族的历史境遇、宗教、伦理道德为依托,在小说《赫索格》中阐释受难、流浪、负罪与救赎的犹太文化母题,关切契约观、上帝观、伦理观等犹太观念,这使他笔下的犹太主人公摩西·赫索格在世俗中不失神性,平凡中不失人性,使其作品既持守了民族性和宗教性,又兼具世界性和人文性,彰显了作家的人文主义关怀和世界性视野。As a Jewish-American writer,Saul Bellow regards Jewish culture as his literary fountainhead,and attaches much importance to Jewry's history,religion,ethics and morals to build his magnificent mansion of novels In Herzog,his masterpiece,Saul Bellow expounds such Jewish culture's archetypal motifs as suffering,exile,sin and salvation which embody such biblical theologies as concept of contract,views on God and ethics Bellow's exhibition of the above-mentioned motifs makes the characteristics of the Jewish protagonist of Herzog,Moses Herzog,worldly yet holy,and ordinary yet humane,making Herzog ethnic and religious,cosmopolitan and humanistic,successfully highlighting Bellow as a brilliant writer with humanistic concern and cosmopolitan horizon.
