In order to study the influence of sampling methods on the variability of reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP),the RAP samples were obtained by the bulk sampling method(BSM)and the stack sampling method(SSM),respectively in the present work. The water content, aged asphalt content and mineral aggregate grading of different RAP samples were analyzed, and the influences of the two sampling methods on the variability of water content, aged asphalt content and mineral aggregate grading of RAP were evaluated by comparing the coefficient of variation. The results show that the stack sampling method can effectively reduce coefficient of variation of water content, the aged asphalt content and the mineral aggregate grading of RAP samples, thereby improving the uniformity of the RAP samples, which is benifitial to both the evaluation of the performance of the RAP scientifically and the guidance of the design and production of recycled asphalt mixture.
