摘　　要：两年前全球新冠疫情暴发时引发英超球员降薪一事备受英国社会和媒体的关注,该事件也是理解疫情中英国体育、媒体与社会关系的良好案例。使用语料库语言学和批判性话语分析结合的混合方法,选取《每日邮报》和《卫报》对该事件的报道进行研究,发现:《每日邮报》中球员的媒介形象为“为富不仁者”,《卫报》中球员的媒介形象为“体育英雄”;《每日邮报》对球员的期待是为俱乐部牺牲,《卫报》则希望球员为更广阔的社区做贡献。两者都强调了球员的社区责任,且均体现了“强向心力、弱离心力”的社会整合倾向,证明了疫情使得社区由“亲密关系”转向“规范性利他”。这给予我国的启示为重新认识体育的社区组织功能和传递运动员富有责任感的公民形象。Covid-19 pandemic triggered a pay cut for Premier League players that received much attention from British society and the media,and the event is a good case study for understanding the relationship between sport,media and society in Britain during the pandemic.Using a mixed approach combining corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis,the Daily Mail and the Guardian were selected to study the coverage of the event,and it was found that:the media image of the players in the Daily Mail was"rich but cruel",and the media image of the players in the Guardian was"sports heroes".The Daily Mail expects players to sacrifice for their clubs,while the Guardian expects players to contribute to the wider community.Both emphasize players'community responsibility,and both reflect a tendency toward social integration with"strong centripetal and weak centrifugal forces",demonstrating that the pandemic has shifted communities from"intimacy"to"normative altruism".The implications for China is to reconceptualize the community-organizing function of sports and to convey a responsible citizenship image of athletes.
