The pathological mechanism of functional dyspepsia(FD)has not been elucidated.TCM has obvious advantages in the treatment of FD and definite clinical efficacy.TCM therapy represented by TCM compounds, single TCM drugs and their components and acupuncture and moxibustion play an important role in the clinical treatment of FD.At present, the importance of stem cell factor(SCF)/c-kit signal transduction in FD research has become increasingly prominent and some progress has been made. The mechanism of TCM therapy intervention in the treatment of FD by SCF/c-kit system may be related to its regulation of gastrointestinal interstitial cells of Cajal, nerve cells and mast cells dysfunction, which is associated with gastrointestinal motility disorder, duodenal low-grade inflammation and increased visceral sensitivity.Based on this, this article reviewed the regulation of SCF/c-kit pathway in the treatment of FD through TCM therapy,in order to provide basis for clinical treatment.
