摘 要:英语中动构式作为一种中间语态,以形式上的主动表达意义上的被动。主语、谓语和附加语是英语中动构式的三大组成部分,在功能上分别起到受事、发出动作和修饰补充的作用。附加语位于英语中动构式末端,由副词或短语搭配构成,在表达状态或性质的过程中展现认知主体的意愿。评价理论衍生于系统功能语言学,更加注重人际意义。本研究从评价理论的三大系统出发,对照英语中动构式各组成部分的评价功能,发现其评价意义主要取决于认知主体所选择的附加语;并结合实例分别从特点、难易度、速度和倾向性四个维度,描述分析认知主体在英语中动构式中所表达的情感、态度和立场,从而建构了附加语在英语中动构式中的评价意义。A kind of middle voice,English middle construction expresses passivity in meaning by active in form.Its three major components are subject,predicate and adjunct,which play the roles of patient,action and modification respectively in function.The adjunct is located at its end,and is composed of adverbs or phrases.It shows the cognitive subject’s will in expressing the state or nature.The Appraisal Theory is derived from Systemic Functional Linguistics and pays more attention to interpersonal meaning.Starting from the three systems of Appraisal Theory,and comparing the evaluation function of each component of English middle construction,this paper finds that its evaluation significance mainly depends on the adjuncts selected by the cognitive subject,and combines with examples to describe and analyze the emotion,attitude,and position expressed by the cognitive subject in the English middle construction from the four dimensions of trait,difficulty,speed and propensity,so as to construct the evaluation significance of the adjunct in English middle construction.
