摘　　要：Daisy Miller is one of the influential works of Henry James,which portrays the subtle relationship of Daisy and Winterbourne.This essay will prove that Winterbourne initially only liked Daisy’s beautiful appearance.With his own observation,he gradually and truly falls in love with Daisy,and I think he longs to become a free and unrestrained person like Daisy,unaffected by worldly gaze.
