摘 要:本文探讨了鲍德温与赖特两位作家的观点分歧,认为鲍德温的“文学弑父”行为体现了美国非裔文学转向过程中的思想抵牾。鲍德温与赖特之间的恩怨貌似是由观点相左引发的分歧,实则蕴含着美国黑人文学转向过程中意识形态、创作手法、黑人文学走向及其黑人存在本质的分野与争端。具体表现在:作家定位上从黑人作家向美国作家的转向;创作方法上从偏激自然主义向为艺术而写作的转向;斗争方式上由抗议向寻求和平融入的转向;着眼点上由着眼过去和“向外看”向着眼未来和“向内转”的转向;在黑人身份定位上由黑人向美国人转向。This paper explores the divergence of views between Baldwin and Wright, and argues that Baldwins behavior of literary patricide reflects the contradiction of thoughts in the turn of African-American literature. The differences between Baldwin and Wright are seemingly caused by their views at odds. However, these differences actually embody the differences of their respective racial political thoughts, creative approach, the tendency of black American literature and the nature of black people as a race at the turn of African American literature. These include the shift from black writers to American writers in writers identity, from extreme naturalism to writing for aesthetic purpose in creative methods, from protest to seeking peaceful assimilation in striving for racial rights, from focusing on the past and looking for outward reason to focusing on the future and inward turn and from the black identity to American identity in African American peoples positioning.
