摘　　要：目前,学界对苏格兰启蒙运动的成就较为肯定,但对相应时期的苏格兰文学的成就评价不一,尤其是对于苏格兰启蒙运动与文学的互动关系研究尚待完善。不过,现有的研究已在逐步扭转人们对苏格兰启蒙时代文学的作用与重要性的认知,并更多关注到思想文化与文学发展的关系问题。在相关讨论中尚需明晰相应研究的时间范畴这一基础问题。基于已有的讨论,本文将苏格兰启蒙时代文学的时期划定为18世纪20年代至19世纪30年代,并分为三个阶段进行探讨,这有助于辩证地看待启蒙思想与文学发展的相互作用。While the achievements of the Scottish Enlightenment are increasingly recognized by the academia,no general consensus on the significance of Scottish lterature in this period is achieved,and the interaction between the Scottish Enlightenment and its literature calls for more discussion.Nevertheless,the current studies have been reshaping our understanding of the siginifcant roles Scottish literature played,with increasing concerns about the relation between culture and literature.In these research efforts,to clarify the period of Scottish literature in Scottish Enlightenment is of primary importance.Based on relevant studies,the paper holds the time range could be set as from the 1720s to the 1830s,with a further division into three phases.Such periodization will facilitate a dialectical view of how intellectual thinking interacts with literary development.
