Preliminary Report on the 2016-2017 Excavation of Yangerpo Site in Xichang City,Sichuan

摘　　要：为配合成昆铁路扩能工程建设,2016年8月至2017年6月,四川省文物考古研究院会同凉山彝族自治州博物馆、西昌市文物管理所对西昌市裕隆回族乡羊耳坡遗址进行了考古发掘,发现一批新石器时代至明清时期的文化遗存。共发掘墓葬、房址、灰坑、灰沟等遗迹399处,出土陶器、石器等各类遗物937件(套)。此次发掘丰富了安宁河流域的考古学文化内涵,对构建该区域考古学文化序列和探讨其文明进程与演化模式具有重要意义。From August 2016 to July 2017,to cooperate with the construction of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway Capacity Expansion Project,Sichuan Province Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology,Museum of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture and Xichang City Administration of Cultural Relics conducted the first archaeological excavation of the Yangerpo site in Yulong Township,Xichang City.The excavation covers an area of 6,039 square meters,revealing 399 remains such as burials,ash pits,ditches,urn burials,etc.,throughout the Neolithic,Western and Eastern Zhou,Han Dynasty and Dali Kingdom period(Tang-Song period),together with 937 pieces(sets)of various relics.Here we provide a relatively detailed description of the excavation of various remains in chronological order other than earthen shaft tombs.Neolithic deposits are concentrated in the southern part of the excavation area,and the types of remains include house sites and ash pits.The cultural accumulations of the Shang and Zhou periods are widely distributed,including burials,house sites,ash pits,ash ditches,etc.Discoveries from the Han period are relatively few,including a small number of urn burials and earthen shaft tombs.Remains of the Tang and Song dynasties are concentrated in the central part of the excavation area,mainly consisting of regular round or oval ash pits.With a large excavation area and abundant discoveries of various kinds from a long time span,this excavation revealed relics with distinctive regional characteristics,which enriches the archaeological and cultural connotation of the Anning River basin and provides new materials for the establishment of the archaeological and cultural sequence of the Anning River basin.It's of great significance for the exploration of the progress and evolutionary pattern of civilization in this region.
