摘 要:针对北京三号A/B卫星载荷特点、工作模式、功能要求,文章设计了一种采用无损或近无损图像压缩标准(JPEG-LS)的图像压缩算法,基于现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)的多路并行联合工作图像压缩系统,使得对超高分辨率、高输入数据率的光学遥感影像可以进行实时无损或近无损压缩。该系统采用一种灵活的图像缓存机制,不需要片外存储器来缓存图像,节约了硬件成本,单片FPGA处理能力高达8 Gbit/s;采用一种先进的码率控制算法,优化失真量化参数调整策略,多路并行压缩核参数统一更新,使得快速逼近目标码率,恢复影像的整体质量更加均匀平滑,峰值信噪比(PSNR)值相比传统算法提升了0.2 dB以上。The technology of still image compression and coding is a hot spot in remote sensing satellite communication.This paper introduces an image compression algorithm using lossless or near lossless image compression standards(JPEG-LS).In response to the payload characteristics,working modes and functional requirements of BJ-3A/B satellites,A multi-channel parallel compression system is designed based on the compression algorithm and the field programmable gate array,It enables the system to compress the wide-band image with ultra-high resolution and high input data rate in real-time lossless or near lossless.The system adopts a flexible image caching mechanism that does not require off-chip memory to catch images,saving the hardware cost.A single FPGA has the processing capacity up to 8Gbit/s.By adopting an advanced rate control algorithm,adjusting the distortion quantization parameters continuously,and uniformly updating the parameters of multi-channel parallel compression cores,the target rate can be approached quickly,and the peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)value is improved by more than 0.2dB compared to the traditional algorithm.
