摘　　要：作为近代中国一个极其特殊的组织,中国近代海关在近代中国社会中具有举足轻重的地位,对近代中国的社会发展产生了错综复杂的影响。近40年来,在中国近代海关史研究领域,已经形成一支专业人员与业余人员有机结合的研究队伍,先后成立了若干个专门研究机构,举办了10余场专题学术研讨会,问世了数十部专著(包括译著、论文集),千余篇论文,和数十篇硕士、博士学位论文。在此期间,已经有部分学者对各个时期的研究成果做了总结、评述,提出了许多颇具价值的思考和建议。本文则力图另辟蹊径,从全球化和地方化两种视野出发,检讨已有研究中的两种取向,以及探究可能的发展前景。The modern Chinese customs has played a pivotal yet complicated role in the development of modern Chinese society.Over the past 40 years,the scope and depth of research into this very special institution have witnessed a dramatic expansion.A research team,which combines professional and amateur personnel,and several specialized institutions have been established.More than ten special academic conferences have been held.Dozens of monographs(including translated works and essays)and more than a thousand papers have been published.Scholars have summarized and commented on the research results of various periods,and put forward many valuable thoughts and suggestions.This article seeks to find another way to review the two orientations of existing research:global and local.It also explores possible development prospects from each perspective.
