后记忆想象与历史承载——论《另一个世界》的“后记忆”书写

摘　　要：《另一个世界》是英国作家帕特·巴克尔获布克奖后创作的第一部作品,探讨了生活在当下的人们与创伤历史之间的联系。本文试图运用玛丽安·赫什的后记忆理论,着重分析小说中与历史灾难幸存者关系密切的“后记忆一代”对创伤历史的承载和思考。因为与灾难亲历者的特殊联系,“后记忆一代”对过去表现出更为迫切的探索欲望,“家庭型后记忆”和“联系型后记忆”就是其想象和思考过去的不同表现形式。《另一个世界》的“后记忆”书写将人们应当如何对待历史创伤的问题推向了争论的焦点。Pat Barker's novel Another World discusses the contemporary world's connection with the traumatic history.This article,guided by Marianne Hirsch's theory of postmemory,focuses on the postmemory generation depicted in the novel and analyses its reflection on the traumatic history.Because of the special relations to the survivors of historical disasters,the postmemory generation shows a more urgent desire to explore the past.The familial postmemory and affiliative memory are just two different manifestations of their imagination of the past.The postmemory writing in Another World turns the question of how to deal with historical trauma into a bone of contention.
