Peters, a contemporary American communication scholar, analyzes the communication dilemma and anxiety brought about by the rise of electronic media in the 20 th century. By the 21st century, “Everyone is a self –media” digital media era, In terms of social psychological perception, why did the dilemma and anxiety of communication shrink, but expanded? The iterative change of the media form is not only the way of information dissemination, but also deeply affects the communication methods and relations of human society. With the help of new technology, the communication form of digital media space has moved from the static ritual “watch/listening” to dynamic performance “saying”, and from “saying to empty words” to “everyone is talking”. Immersed in digital media space, we seem to be even more trapped in the paradox of communication: the value of communication is easy and the value of its soul communication is lost. The digital media exchange scenario constitutes the “collective living environment”that we commonly inhabits. To get rid of the exchanges paradox in the era of digital media, you need to return to the true state of the exchange, cultivate public ethics of digital exchanges, and reshape the spiritual order of the new technology era.
