摘　　要：我开始做显微外科手术是在1964年,当时我在基耶蒂医院担任创伤骨科主任。我的第一次显微手术是在神经上进行的,以当年的知识、器械和缝合材料,我用了“经典”神经修复的方法,结果非常糟糕。这促使我去更清楚地了解神经内部结构,以寻找提升修复方案和预后的方法。I started Microsurgery in 1964,when I was chief of the Orthopaedic and Traumatologic Department of the Hospital of Chieti.My first microsurgery was done on nerves.The results obtained by the"classical"nerve repair,with the existing knowledge,the instruments,and the suture material available at that time,were so bad that I was pushed to"see better"inside the nerve what I could do to improve the repair and results.
