摘 要:古人所谓“博物”主要包括辨识名物兼通达义理等义项,也指由此衍生而来的一种文学叙事方式。作为备陈万物的“博物”与文学叙事有着天然联系。以《山海经》与《博物志》等为代表的文言小说,在博物叙事内容方面追求广博化而非精深化、旨趣方面追求奇异性而非故事性。以《金瓶梅》等为代表的白话小说,其博物叙事内涵多以铺陈名物与夸饰方术为主,在敷衍故事的同时蕴含特定的价值追求。博物叙事是中国古代小说固有却有待深入探讨的重要研究领域,藉此文白两种小说系统或许得以通同观照。The so-called“Natural History”in ancient times mainly included identifying famous objects and understanding the meaning and principles,and also referred to a literary narrative method derived from it.As a“natural object”that prepares all things,it has a natural connection with literary narrative.Classical Chinese novels,represented by“The Classic of Mountains and Seas”and“The Records of Natural History”,pursue broadness rather than refinement in narrative content of natural history,and singularity rather than storytelling in the theme.The vernacular novels represented by“The Plum in the Golden Vase”often have a natural history narrative that focuses on showcasing famous objects and embellishing techniques,embodying specific value pursuits while perfunctory stories.The narrative of natural objects is an important research field inherent in ancient Chinese novels that needs to be further explored,and through this,both classical and vernacular novel systems may be able to be viewed in a unified manner.
