Objective To review the current status of the role of non muscle myosin IIA(NMIIA)in tumor metastasis and provide a theoretical basis for the related research of NMIIA in tumor metastasis. Methods Retrieve relevant literature and thoroughly summarize the specific mechanism of NMIIA metastasis in tumor cells. Results NMIIA is an important component protein of cell membrane skeleton, and it can work together with actin to make cells move.In recent years,it has been found that the expression of NMIIA is closely related to the malignancy of many cancers and plays a role in tumor metastasis.NMIIA can be regulated by upstream proteins such as ROCK,NudCL2,TFPI-2 and S100A4,thereby affecting protein functions such as AKT/mTOR and F-actin.At the same time,NMIIA can also regulate mitochondrial fission and participate in the EMT process to promote tumor metastasis. Conclusion Based on the summary of existing literature,we found that NMIIA plays an important role in tumor metastasis and its mechanism of action is complex.NMIIA is one of the important research directions for solving tumor metastasis.
