摘　　要：胆固醇是构成细胞膜的重要组成成分,也是人体内类固醇激素和胆汁酸等多种重要物质的合成原料。但是胆固醇水溶性极低,在吸收、代谢和排泄过程中易发生异常而结晶,导致各种疾病。本文归纳了体内胆固醇结晶导致的动脉粥样硬化、胆结石、老年性黄斑等疾病的特点,以及临床上或者研究中针对消除胆固醇结晶所采取的治疗措施,以期为抑制或者消除胆固醇结晶从而治疗胆固醇结晶相关疾病提供理论依据和参考。Cholesterol plays a crucial role in the human body as a precursor of steroid hormones and bile acids,in addition to forming the structure of cell membranes.Since cholesterol is insoluble in water,it may be crystallized during the ingestion,synthesis,absorption,and excretion of cholesterol,and then cause many diseases.We reviewed the formation and characteristics of cholesterol crystals in atherosclerosis,gallstones,and age-related macular degeneration,and strategies of inhibiting or removing cholesterol crystals in clinical or experimental study.This review aims to provide theoretical basis and reference for the strategies of inhibiting or removing cholesterol crystals in cholesterol crystal related diseases.
