While reshaping library services, metaverse technology has also enabled libraries to acquire more complex patron information collection power, which will cause the risk of patron privacy leakage if used and managed improperly.Based on the theoretical perspective of information flow power trust, this paper analyzes the for⁃mation mechanism of patron information leakage and proposes corresponding countermeasures. It is found that the metaverse environment, given its new form of technological medium, service ecology and virtual in⁃teraction, allows readers to develop psychological identification and trust in the metaverse technology, and readers cede ontological and embodied information in exchange for personalized library metaverse services. However, the massive information flow faces the problems of over-extension of usage power and lack of man⁃agement power, resulting in the leakage of patrons'private information and the breakdown of trust, which will lead to patrons'inhibiting the use of metaverse technology. Therefore,it is necessary to regulate the pow⁃er of collecting privacy information,to regulate the power of using reader information flow by means of ser⁃vice contracts and sharing restrictions, and to strengthen internal control management to prevent the leakage of reader privacy information.
